I'm not going to get into which is cooler. I will state that this truck just keeps on getting cooler and you've made me VERY sorry I ever parted with my '34 PU. The new wheel combination is a home run. However I'm chewing my fingernails hoping you don't go one step beyond perfect and make a "mistake" with some modification. I'll wait patiently as you haven't made a mis-step yet.
As a seasoned (read old fart) rodder I occasionally worry about where this hobby/obsession will be in the years ahead but when I see guys like Chris turn out a hot rod like this I'm confident that we'll be in good hands.

I got some more done today. I got my shoes re-lined (yes, I do them myself) and ***embled all the backing plates. Got the front two on with freshly packed bearings. I also started installing the master cylinder locator I got from Richard and Dennis Lacey. It slipped right in with no fuss (aside from I had to cut my new exhaust off...will have to re-route later), it is a VERY NICELY made piece! I gotta get a tie rod made up and work on getting the back brakes on....then run lines. Cross your fingers I don't get too many leaks :D

All your **** is always spot-on.

You've got a great eye for "the look" and really nail it with each of your builds.

Yeah, I have a spare headlight bar to drop...if for some reason I don't like it I can always put the original one back on.

I didn't get a whole lot done tonight, but did pick up my tie rod on my lunch. I do not have a tubing bender nor a LH and RH tap so this is one of the few times I gotta farm stuff out. My buddy Bob did a great job.

Please note, I am fully aware that tie rods are not suppost to be bent. But I had to flip the tie rod on top of the wishbone and without the dip it hits the front crossmember when turning. I did one of these on my A coupe and never had a problem...the tube is 3/8" wall....it is VERY thick and heavy...it will not bend just hitting a pot hole or whatever.

It also looks a lot lower in my garage then out in my slopped driveway, so heres another pic. I am super happy with how it's turning out

I was just out messing with the back brakes. The E-brake leverage arm was hitting the shoe retaining clip and I could not figure out why. I dug out my "Brakes" book from Vern Tardel's "Let me help you series" and figured out I have the LH arm on the RH side and vise-versa. Those bools are EXCELLENT, no matter how much you know they come in handy in cases like this, and are very step by step for guys who have never messed with brakes (or whatever series book your reading)

Thats my moring plug for good ol Vern :D

Looking great. However, when are you going to paint those headlight buckets?

    Thanks.

Dude I love that truck. As if it wasnt cool before you made it even cooleer. Im building a 34 myself and got all the stuff to put wide 5's on mine. I was going to ask the tire sizes but someone beat me to it. Thanks for helping me make my decision before mine is even built.
