Thank you so much for the background on your family's heirloom Revoh. That makes for a real good story. May you enjoy that Vette for years to come.

How about it Byron Crump, Reggie and 51 mercules, any background on your collectables you can share? Did you get your cars from their creators or are you the original artists? How did you find your canvas's.

Often are the words "if only they could talk" thrown around. Here is a thread where we can give them voices.

    Thanks.

this coupe was built by Bo Knabb in Portland, OR '48...He sold it in '51 keeping the 296/ 4-2s flathead.....was pictured in a Hot Rod magazine article about Portland Roadster Show in 1952 when a Portland highschool student owned it....car reportedly was turned into a drag car in the mid to late 50s with a Chrysler hemi....a few years ago I acquired enough of the original car to put together this roller/shop art until the time comes to build it back into a driver with the same at***ude...sometime soon I hope!

two chops already posted this car. the remains are in my attic, patiently waiting for the right 3 window to come along. it was featured in hot rod, car craft and rodding and restyling.

I've been curious since twochops posted those pictures. Is the work on those fenders done in metal? Are they heavy with lead or light. Do you have any more of the car like grill, or bumpers. What was the engine and what are some of the other modifications are you are going to have to do when the right 3 window comes along? Just curious. Thanks for posting.

Doug they are done in lead. and heavy!! they are all i have of it. it was an amazing piece in its time. it even had 24k gold plated wrenches nicely stored in upholstered pockets in the trunk. the car was a bit over the top and even gaudy by some peoples standards. but a recreation, slightly subdued could be a stunner. It had a chromed out corvette motor. the car went down hill over time eventually it burned up in a bodyshop fire. to my knowledge all that survived are the fenders. if you do a search on here you will see the fire pictures i once posted.
the rear fenders where leaded in and when it burned left a huge puddle of lead on the floor. the car in your avatar reminds me a lot of it. :D

I remember seeing the "old" incarnation out at the track a few times.

Wow, sad to see some of the cars and trucks that were wasted and left to rust.

I love the dedication, wish more people thought like that, a car isnt gone till theres nothing left.

  13. The 53 chev hardtop with the ugly wheels is and was owned by Dan Belanger. He has had the car forever. Both pics are different incarnations he has done to it. Done to his taste. What can I say, it still exists and is cared for. Pat.

I've posted these before, but I'll add them to this thread as well. The truck was built by a childhood friend of mine and his dad in 1978-9. It got parked in 1988 and I bought it in 2008. I'm in the process of completely rebuilding the truck from the ground up. It looks nice on the outside, but the ch***is was very poorly built.
