    Hi guys,

Is there a spring that can be used on the '48 axle so it can be mounted between the perch springs, as in a traditional set-up?
I realise that the proper position is in front, fitted to the wish-bone extensions, but i want to put the spring on top
Or are there a set of measurements or a formula that I can use?

    Thanks in advance

    Regards

    Tim

Posies makes one for the 37 to "40 something" with spring over, but I never knew if the later 40s were the same perch pin width. Call them.

  3. i believe Posies makes a spring for that

According to a 1985 copy of a rodding magazine, is the following figures
    1937-41 radius rod centres 38 1/2"
    1942-48 radius rod centres 40 3/4"

But I'm not sure when Ford started putting the spring in front of the I beam....
