I like this project, you are really going for it. Is the Packard motor a v/8? Oh my god, the way bad straight eight, you are the bomb dude, to cool. Here is a shot of my first car a 33-tudor, little more conservative than your build. Carry on and good luck man. ~sololobo~

If you look i have the whole car braced and square with tubing on the inside of the roof and the bottom half. I did all that before i ever took it off the frame

Oh and the new iPhone app is so awesome I have lots of pictures on my phone that I haven't posted because I am to lazy to download them to the computer. So my facebook looks like a build thread now I can just post them here immediately. So cool best 1.99 ever spent.

Got the doors all cut down and in body is all back together. Now on to the inner structure and building the frame.

Twin turbo on a Packard straight 8! Has that ever been done before?

It will be painted. My grandpa used to race in the 40s and 50s unfortunitely he p***ed away before i ever got to meet him so i am painting it just like one of his race cars.

I think this car has potential to be extremely cool. I really like the engine idea. Keep up the good work, I'd really like to see this one finished.

Its not my car and therefore not my choice, but if it were mine I would DEFINATELY set that engine back into the firewall a ways, like a long ways.

Looks like you have some pretty nice fab skills. Love the racecar Skeme!

here's a link to my '29 chevy, should be some race car fab inspiration for ya

    Good luck,

    Adam

  24. yeah i would stick the motor back under the cowl and make the cowl removable ala deaths door step (look it up if you dont know the refrence)

I want to move the motor back more but I am making it so low that if the ****** was in the car much more there wouldn't be anywhere to sit. The motor is just huge. I think it will look quite a bit smaller once I get the frame and tires built up front.

I like it. I have noticed there aren't to many people doing these cars that's why I chose this one. I am kinda going a little more extreme with this build than I originally planned but I really want it to be different.

Looks like you got a killer start on it!! Look forward to seeing how she turns out!! I set my motor back about 6 inches and ended up using a wheelbarrow tub from home depot for the firewall, fits pretty good. JOKER JASON.
