...because this is about more than models....this is just fucking cool.....I'm just passing it on to you guys. It's a bit stereotypical of "rat rodders" but it's just so damn cool anyway....a 1/25th scale diorama of a "billet-proof" style show. Cars, people, band, beer bottles...Billit-clad Willy's outside the gates...giant tiki head bar....absolutely amazing. Fiber optics on the tail pipes of this chevy make 'em light up....flame throwers!!! And here's the latest on what I've built....everything on this sedan is done except bodywork and the interior.
that's cool as hell. it reminded me of the shop model at moon equipment's showroom. theirs had lots of figures too, even a guy pissin' in a urinal! very cool! tred.
BAWHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA Thats funny you say that cuz I just got done searching through his archive on Fotki!!!
I think I was at that show. o'wait those arent real. just jokin that is some damn nice work. seems time consuming.
I've beed busy slamming palstic together this week. I finished up to stalled projects that have been setting on my shelf WAY TOO LONG. The red beast is a 58 edsel AWB car and the green one is a cut down 32 ford pheaton. Enjoy!! keith ross
Eric, that is very cool! Thanks, for sharing. The paint became "less than acceptable"(dont ask me how) on the 55, so while it is soaking in CSC, I began another project. Shown here is what I have done at the moment. Jim
Thats a real impressive diorama! And I like the way it´s built, the theme that sometimes makes me wonder if I do belong to the outside or the inside... Anyway, here what I´ve been ut to when it comes to 1/25. The Lindberg 53, once started by Rikster ( http://images5.fotki.com/v65/photos/2/223020/805803/53Ford02-vi.jpg ) now has got the trim groves filled with Evergreen strips and the hood lenghtened towards the windshield.
It was built by Jim Fernandez, Arizona. He goes under the name "Hollywood Jom" at the Hobby Heaven Message Board (a 1/25 message board).
That makes me laugh.... i actually burnt a friends pants when he though he was cool doing that...beware That whole set up is really cool i must say...
Ok, so I havent built a model car in about 12yrs but after lookin at everybody else it inspired me to build one, Im a little rusty on holdin a straight line but I sure injoyed doin it again.
Very cool stuff guys! Here are a few rods that were at the Birmingham show last weekend. Other stuff, too. Click on the link. Birmingham Classic 2005 Steve
I managed to get a little more done today. finaly filed off all the mold lines, smoother the wind split near the rear bumper, and fit the doors. I think it is ready for paint. On to the interior, next. Jim
And don't forget the guys standing around without a car. But those guys sometimes turn into the guys that when they finally do have a car they leave at the sametime as everyone else but it takes them so long to get down to someplace like Austin that his buddies pass him going the other way on the return trip home and he still has not even gotten halfway to Austin yet. Also some guys would be on the other side of the fence looking in wishing they could bring their Corvette Summer clones into the show. Oh, and don't forget the guys that have brothers that use a +3 screwdriver.... And so on...
