So i stumbled across a guy who is looking to sell his old dragster are these things worth messing with im totally clueless on this one
ok well judging from you two theres some intrest the guy is supposed to be sending me more pics right now all i have seen is the frame but he told me it has eveything but a motor and trans...and it is a front engine rail
It is so far out of date you could never race it, would be cheaper to buy or build a new one but a nice car show car after restoration.
Maybe it's bad eyesight on my part, but that looks like a rear engine ch***is. Maybe one of those funky econo dragsters with front brakes and a line loc.
Sure looks like it's worth getting. Ya don't want to steal it from your pal, but maybe he'll give you a "bro" deal? I'd love to have something like that hanging in my shop! Did he mention what he wants for it?
Sure looks like a rear engine dragster in the first photo. If it has been sitting outside for any amount of time, I don't know that I'd want to strap myself in it even if you could somehow get it to p*** tech at your local strip.
i thought the same thing too im not sure what the extension is past the drivers cage he wants 500 for everything
Problem with old rails is just that, old rails. water gets into the tubing, rusts from the inside out. Not safe around here (Pacific Northwest) All welds would have to be x-rayed . Maybe use it as a pattern to make a new one .
Something doesn't look right , I'd leave it where it sits..hard enough to work with a ch***is that looks good..that one looks a little weird and rusty maybe....
You'd have less money in one built from scratch. Might save your life too. Looks like it's were it belongs.
I agree with it being a rear engine car ... and (not sure if it's the poor pic of what) the cage looks "wonky" as in bent. I'd p*** on it.
