chevnut, using a 1.4 tip, paint is pretty thin out f the can.

As far as I can tell from looking at a few other cars done with the mettalic, the color seems to dry lighter than their "chip"
The solid colors look pretty close to the "chip"

It shouldnt dry rough if it does you got gun or user issues...it should dry nice and smooth but not like as smooth gloss job..

Maybe it will grow on me, I was looking for a darker gold but Ill figure it out in a few days I guess

If it said 4-1-1 The first number is always paint 2nd is hardner and 3rd is always reducer. The reducer is only a product to get it on the car and help flow out some so it's not as critical as getting hardner exact. We always learn the best leasons the second time around.

Looks good to me. Was thinking of using the Flatz on my truck. Glad to hear someone had good luck with it.

Well, although it looked ok and layed out nice, the color was way to off for me....so the car is now wet sanded and taped off waiting to be sprayed again ;)

I really like your car. The stance is great. I like the black and gold too, hope you get your colors worked out the way you want 'em.

Good job man, glad to hear it worked out. I was feeling for you and chalked up my success to just dumb luck since I have never painted and my buddy did it only twice before mine with as much as 10 years apart each time.

    Looks killer!

i got a question about this flatz what exactely is it

i heard somewhere that it was nothing more than base coat/clear coat with no clear

is this true and another question

if it is not the above can you shoot clear form a base coat/clear coat paint over it and get a shiney effect

ive asked them this on their ebay "ask seller a question" twice and have never gotten a reply

Its a single stage urethane, with a dulling agent added. Once its down you cant **** with it...
I wet sanded and cleared over the dash, and it actually looked like the chip.

So you can get a descent shine outta it if you spray regular clear over it

I like it. So when are coming to Texas to spray mine? Where did you get it at? How much per gallon? How many gallons did it take? Sorry for all the questions.
