Hi. For all you Dodge truck guys, I was wondering if someone had the answer. I bought a set of 4 cab mount cushions from Roberts Motor Parts (I emailed but haven't heard back yet and thought I' try here). One pair of the mounts is about 1'' thick, and the other pair is twice as thick. Did I get the wrong ones?? The cab mounts on the frame are level with each other, and the mount holes in the bottom of the cab appear to be on the same horizontal axis. If I use these the cab won't be level. It would be easy enough to cut the thick ones down, but I just thought I'd double check before I go altering anything. Maybe there's something I'm missing, maybe I just got the wrong ones. Of course my old ones are too ******ed to judge off of. Any help is appreciated, thanks.
Seems to me the front rubber mounts were thicker then the rear rubber mounts were, probably because there is more weight attached to the front of the cab. But its been years.....Gene
mine had the original cab mount rubbers on it when I dismantled it and they were all the same size and thickness.
Someone at the pilothouse forum will know. http://www430.pair.com/p15d24/mopar_forum/forumdisplay.php?f=8
I am just getting ready to put the cab back on my ch***is (52 Pilothouse) I also have the mounts from Roberts. Each mount has two pieces - one on top of the frame mount and one below. Top ones are 1 1/2" and bottom ones are 5/8". I do have my original mounts out and although they are not in the best of shape, they were the same size.
