Not a barn find, more like a yard find What year is this? A friend of mine knows I'm into old tin and sent me the teaser pics. Don't know much, hasn't moved or ran in close to 20 years. Supposedly complete and original 4 cyl. Its hard not to like this thing... I think asking price is fair, but haven't seen it in person. Comments or info on these appreciated!
41-7 Dodge,...39-40's look the same but headlites sit in the valley between fender crown and hood, I like them better with the narrower headlites. That looks like a dandy truck,...it should be a flathead six. Get it!
IVE got two but up here the two together are still not as good as the one you have there. I hope the price is right.
I would have guesses 6 as well, but I was told 4. I can't wait to check it out in person and see how if its.as good as it looks. I was told asking price is 2500 but offered some room off the bat. seems fair to me.
Hope the floors are good...nobody makes replacement panels for our old dodges. There a couple good places for some parts though. Go get it..but if it's got holes in it, negotiate a better deal. You should be able to drop a flat 6 in it. V8's are more work
I can only say that it is not a 41. 41's have more chrome on the front grill. I also own two that do not look as good as that combined. Mine are both 46's.
Id be all over that for that price if it was close. Its looks pretty solid.Even if the floors were gone it would pretty easy to fab up.Up here in the salt belt were lucky if the bottom 6 inches isnt already gone.
I agree with all the others--what I see looks solid and buildable. I'm mainly a Ford guy but I like them all, especially all old trucks. I always liked the front end styling and the cowl lights on old Dodge trucks.
Here's a 46 and 47 I traded for a value of about $2,000 After tearing mine apart they're a little rough to say the least, yours looks in better shape.
Built a 46 in 1957 and had a blast with dual exhaust and a 3 carb log manifold, both homemade. It would out run a 57 chevy for the first 50 feet, then it was over. Three carbs drank gas, but who cared when gas was 25.9 to 29.9 per gallon. Cruise all night for a buck. This one looks like a good one to build.
