Not really I made it out twice last summer. Once for a funeral and once for that M/A yard sale out by hospital lake. Both one day there and back. Hitchhiker and I met a few guys from your area in the Winfield cl*** at Gambino's. They said y'all have some fun shows in the summer so we'll probably do a long weekend over the hill this summer.

Help Hitchhiker get that coupe on the road and bring it on the Flathead run Sept. 17th...you'll see a lot of good E. WA cars there.

Nice...! Looks great Chris. I love the wide 5's and the Deluxe looking caps. The amount of cool stuff you round up is amazing.

Keep it up, it inspires us all.

Looks good! BTW, I owned a 38 coupe and those caps you got for $40.00 were a good buy. You couldn't buy a single original cap in the shape yours are in for that money in the mid 80's. Keep us posted on the progress.

Ok, got everything ****oned up and sll brake lines ran today. Got em bled and they actually work :D I have one fitting that is still seeping a little, gotta address that tomorrow. I HATE doing brakes...it's always a huge pain in the ***...especially working on your back.
Either way, also had a bum M/C from Wagner, luckily I had a spare one on my shelf for my roadster, so just swapped it on, bled em up and were off! Still gotta make up a drag link, add clips to hold the lines, rear wheel seals and some other odds and ends, but should be on the streets soon. Watching the weather right now and it's gonna be 12 degrees tonight...so I got a little time to go yet :)

The M/C mount kit I got from Dennis and Richard Lacey was AWESOME, everything bolted up and works excellent!!!!

Damn dude where did you get that "WYE" br*** fitting in between the wishbones? I have been looking hard for one but coming up short. I ended getting one from a Brewery parts house but it's not even right. Let me in!

It's just a 1/4" T fitting...should be able to get one at any auto parts store.

Damn it. I need a "WYE" (Y) fitting because I brought the lines all the way up to where the wishbones connect almost so bending 1/4" line in that tight of a space is not doable.

Ford originally used a triangular shaped piece that bolts to were the wishbone boltes in the front of the torque tube. Then it has a T fitting...the forward hole goes through a hole in the triangular piece, then each side of the T fitting has the brake line running from it down the wishbones to the backing plates.

  17. Looks good Chris. I've been fighting the brake lines on my '34 all week and finally got it ****ed today.

Ffej, look at the fittings Mac's has for a '39 rear. Are you running a closed driveline?

Those work slick, too. They have a bracket that is cureved and bolts to the top of one wishbone arm...rubber line goes on the male end, each side uses a female end. Thats pretty much what I did, but all three of mine are female ends with hard lines...rubber line was up a little farther.

  23. Yup. Exactly. I had to switch mine around and kind of did what you did.

Wait why isn't Cactus' underside rusty like yours? Did he do something wrong? Hahaha!!!

On a seperate note, did you use the original metal type clamps on the wishbones? I have the rubber insulated ones but I might have to drop the wishbones to drill the holes to mount them.

just a quick follow up for all you hydraulic brake guys...... why don't any of the picture I have seen here show someone using a dual master cylinder? What if something happen to the front or rear lines? I plan on using a dual master, but what size would you recommend; F100 fronts and 46/48 Lincoln rears. Thanks in advance - steve hackel

Some guys use Dual Reservoir MC's and some don't. It all depends how authentic you want your car. My '35 has a dual but my '33 might get a single.

I think a general consensus would say that a late 60's Mustang non power brake (drum/drum) Master Cylinder would be your best choice. You can get an adapter to hook that right up to your existing pedal ***embly.

I had a 1968 Mustang non-power/drum MC on my A coupe. Nothing wrong with it. Singles work fine too...and it's not a 100% sure thing that is one side fails the other will not on a dual pot. I will take a nice working E-brake anyday over needing a dual pot MC.
