Ok i did a lil webmaster searching n found conflicting info. I have an aluminum intake w iron heads and don't. Know if i need the metal gaskets that i have or if i need composite. Engine experts please chime in. Thanks as always, NAES
Print-o-seal. Something to do with the surface prep that allows the head to slide a little on it when the AL expands faster than the iron block. Doesnt delaminate like the blue "would" if subjected to the same lateral movement. At least that is the story behind the adverti*****t...Ford has used Metal gaskets for some time on AL headed motors but the surface prep on a modern cylinder head is like mirror smooth.
