If it has good door rubber and window seals nad door alignment, Go with a louder radio, or ear plugs.
They're just noisy going faster than 50 or so ... open both wing windows an inch helps a little. Window channel & new wing window rubber always help. Beautiful color on your truck !
I had a similar problem on an OT truck I built a few years ago. I added another bulb weather strip around the doors leading edge just inside the lip to seal the door so no air could get between the door and the jamb. Not as quiet as a new car but it made it so a conversation in the truck at hiway speeds could be had without yelling.
thanks eveyone who answered found out today if I pull the doors from the inside while driving it gets a lot better so its got to be the door fit
Nice truck. Sets great and clean! Reminds me of my old one. I see you kept the wings. Did you install all new rubber?
I've fought that battle for the past 38 years and haven't won yet. Fresh weatherstripping and windlacing in good shape helps along with having the door latches adjusted as you discovered. Also make sure that all of the weather related items around the door glass is in top shape.
the problem you have is wind noise but not a wind leak, it's the same as blowing across a sode bottle hole, the wind moves across the door gaps and makes this noise, that 51 was not built to run an interstate at 75 mph like it does now, all old trucks have this problem to some degree, plus that mirror and those visor braces ain't gona help much,, "ya" hip ?
All I can add to this is get yourself some hollow door rubbers. I recently replaced my solid rubbers with a hollow kind and now have perfect door fit that I could never achieved before. Best of luck. Paul
Put a dollar bill, in your case a euro maybe, around the opening and close the door on it. Check to see how tight the seal is by pulling on the dollar, you may need to bend the window frame in toward the cab to get a better seal at the top. Helped mine a lot. Rich
