What size tires & wheels on your 30's -40's rods?

    I know it may seem **** but it depends on the era or time period you are shooting for. For my '33 I have 7.00's out back and 6.00's up front because those were the tires for the period. Not many guys were running 7.50's back then and even though it 's a small difference it looks the part.

    For the fronts I have changed my taste in the past few years. I used to like the smaller tires like the 5.50, 5.00, and 4.75's but now after studying wheel bases and proportion I think more often then not I would go for 6.00's up front with 7.00's or 7.50's out back. the bigger tire up front visually shortens the wheel base which I like.

    On my '35 though I am running 5.50's up front because the fenders could possibly rub through turns on a bigger tire. Out back I am running these monster 32" tall 7.50's that are made by lester. Huge!
