I know of a Junkyard in York, PA that bought a old abandoned junk yard about 6 years ago and now township wants the old junkyard gone and cleaned up. All these cars/trucks will be crushed starting the 1st week of March. I walked the yard myself twice. Most of the cars are from mid 1940's thru 1979. From what I have seen the cars are complete. All makes and models are in the junkyard. He built a garage and has 1 or 2 guys working there disasembling cars and trucks what ever you want. They have the heavy equipment there to pick up and put the cars/trucks you want on your trailer or rollback. I talked to him a few weeks ago and he is now trying to sell the cars just as s**** weight to try and save as many as he can. The prices were pretty high back a few years ago but now time has run out on him. The name of the junk yard is Baugmans Auto Parts. Phone# is (717) 846-3944 Mon-Sat. I imagine it will take about 2 months to crush everything once the crushing starts. He will save any cars you want if you come and spray paint your initials on them and put down payment on cars you want as he has told me. I plan on getting a few but can't save them all. Hope alot of people come to the rescue of these old cars. You can google map the address and look at the cars thru sattelite imagery and see them in the woods.

That place is amazing. There's old buses in there that still have the coin boxes. Cars galore. Much 50's- early 60's.

I called and the guy said most of the cars are not restorable but should be for parts only. Bummer. He had 24 Falcons/Comets when he originally counted. Really want a 63 Comet hardtop! If I lived closer I would have liked to just go walk through the place. Sounds like an interesting place.

interesting, York is only a few hours from me and I have plenty of friends in the Harrisburg and State College area that could probably help me out with any cool finds.

EDIT: oh man, I just realized my buddies wifes maiden name is Baughman and she's originally from PA. Im gonna have to ask her if she's related now, HA!

I'm no where near the area, but if someone makes a trip up it would be cool to see some pics.

Been through there a bunch of times....last time was about a year ago...there are a TON of nailheads and buick straight 8's in there...need to save them
a bunch of nice riv's...just so much stuff its amazing. There is one 425 in there last time I checked, the rest I think are 401's. No hemis, a couple 427 chevs (the dump truck versions, if theres a difference). Not to mention stuff that you just haven't really seen before. I forget the make but there was a small british type sports car (think triumph-ish) with one of those buick aluminum V8s in it. I need to see if I can scrounge up some dough to save a few of these things

This google map site shows his modern day yard. He has about 150 mopars in this yard from the 1958 to 1978 in here. Mostly muscle cars. The rest of the cars are the usual daily beater stuff. All the old stuff is in the back left corner near the highway.

THIS IS NOT THE ACTUAL YARD! thats the new car yard

This is where the old car junkyard is

    http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&sou...364,-76.813129&spn=0.002516,0.004994&t=h&z=18

Yes lots of old cars here, most not savable, decent for parts though...

lots of trees, and stuff probably snakes and critters, cars are parked really close to each other its hard to open doors if nessesary.

I wish that someone could take all the guessing out of it and just post up what's there. If the guy really wanted the cars sold, that would be the way.
