i just oicked up this 51 chevy for 200. all there, just in peices ha. three spd, 6 banger. im going to slamm it on the ground and shortin the bed of the truck. also im going to leave it rusty. i love the rat rod look. i will show more pics as the project progresses.

geez...didn't you read ANYTHING before you started honking your RAT ROD horn? We don't LIKE rat rods - they represent the absolute worst part of car modifications. We all fight to rid the cars we own of rust, and make the bodywork as close to fine as we can - and here YOU are....wearing rusty **** like a freakin' medal. Get a clue, SlammerBoy....we're HOT RODDERs, not demented dimwits with no p***ion for cars. Find another forum...or treat your car(s) with more respect. dj

Might not want to flash the "rat rod" word around here. While I dig it and many people on here will spend many many years building there "rust free" cars while you can throw something together and be cruising it in a month or two, a lot of people on here just don't like rat rods or what they stand for.
hey guys sorry. i take alot of respect in my cars. i dont use the words "rat rod" as a bad thing. to me rust is cool. sorry for afending you. i know some people can make rusty look like ****, but im making this thing look cool trust me guys. just follow the build and youll see. i might need some advise along the way, im not used to workin on chevy trucks.
Might I suggest the term "unfinished"... Now that we got that out of the way, what are your plans for the truck? You mentioned shortening the bed are you changing frames or just for the look?
im using the same frame. i think it would look protty cool with a few inches cut off the bed, not much. im going to make the inside like a stock car or something of that sort, im going to paint the inside black. and under the hood. i think im going to use the same motor, i belive it is a 230 6cyl. it will be fun cruser nothin to fancy, cuase i dont have alot of money for something real nice.
ok guys a full change in plans. i was checking out the body and i relized that it is a very good looking body. so im goin to make it into a street rod. i bought a s10 frame and im going to put a 350 in it. with a cam a maybe nos. i want to take it to the draggs on the weekends. im going to paint it candy apple green. with wide drag tires. do you guys think it will be cool. give me ideals i know you guys would like me to finish it well now i am.
