Purchased a 41 Chevy coupe project not long ago. Came with a fibergl*** hood that is just a shell and a steel hood that is a basket case (in my opinion).
What I have ahead of me is, transferring the cross bracing and hinge mounts from the steel hood to the fibergl*** hood. These parts will have to be cut away from the steel hood.

My question is. How to attach these steel parts to the under-side of the fibergl*** hood?

Any advice, pics, product recomendations will all be welcome.

That is where the hood came from. I also have a receipt from you for the gl***. Nice work, thanks.
I talked to those guys and they were not too helpfull. I asked them basically what I posted and they confirmed what I thought, but didn't off up any real "how to" advice. I didn't push it.

Fibergl*** them in, use the matt. I do it all the time on fender skirts to install the lock braces.

I would like to bring this back to life.
I think I have the process of mounting the hardware the inside of the hood using fibergl*** matt. Any other ideas would still be welcome.

Now, getting it located exactly where it should be is a problem.
Short of pulling the motor and getting inside, any ideas.
I suppose a very small person could hold a flashlight and mark it, but not too realistic.

    Thanks,
