I thought some of you might like to see my power-slide parking job over the weekend. Steep driveway, invisible ice, I should have known better, etc. AAA saves the day. Anyone else have pictures of near misses?
Was it tough to get the seat covers out of your *** ? I know mine would have been ****in wind ha ha ha
Hey being from the northeast and driving hot rods in all kinds of weather, I can totally appreciate that seat cover comment! **** mine just flexed looking at the picture. Glad there was no damage. Joe NY
I had a black and red '60 that I never should've got rid of. That car didn't come from Texas, did it?
What a stroke of luck in a bad situation. Being in the midwest ****s in the winter, just got back in from scooping snow and getting my honey's car road ready, I don't like it. Nice 60, nice miss! ~sololobo~
Glad no damage to your car! It looks really nice! Were the skidmarks in your cotton longer than the ones in the lawn?
Really good looking car! That could've been a mess. Are the stainless trim strips along the side misaligned with the jet-looking emblem, or is that an optical illusion because of the angle?
Please Tell me that when the car finally came to a stop you jumped out... threw your hands in the air and yelled...... TA-DA! That's right *****es, I meant to do that!
Glad you missed!! Amazing to me is the resemblance to my 60 I bought new in 60. Here are a couple pics from 60/61. Am in the process of duplicating my 60 to include the FH 350 horse 348 w 4 speed.
Maaaan, that's a lot of comments in a day! I guess y'all can relate. It's not a car out of Texas...it sat under a tree in Virginia the last ten years. I got it last summer looking like the attached picture. It's come a long way and I did almost all of it in my driveway, so I appreciate the compliments. the paint is Rustoleum from Lowes...two can of flat and most of a can of gloss and a can of acetone to thin it...total: $90! I was barely looking at the tree...I was looking at the house coming at me...did a power slide in the mud with the wheels turned and that stopped the car - and dug a deep hole. Then I pulled the upholstery out of my rear. the guys at the house were cool...made me feel like punk rock star instead of an idiot...could have gone either way. No, the chrome isn't misaligned. Someone took the picture with an iphone and did some sort of panorama mode that didn't s***ch the pictures together perfectly. And no, I didn't have to go down that steep driveway but, hey, I thought I could make it. What a marooon. I'm no so careful with the car as I would be if it was a weekend car. This is my daily driver so I just drive it! I don't always drive it right, but I drive it. By the way...how do I get my pictures to post full size and not as thumbnails?
Davey Deuce- Our cars really look alike. I love both pics...I could enjoy my car looking either way. The drag strip version is super bad. Mines got a 350 with automatic (Turbo 350). It's great to see those old shots...I'm going to show my friends who talked with me about how to set up my car. I'll look out for pics of your car when you're done.
