I had the pleasure of working with Donn on the initial stages of the design/build. I am first to point out that Donn designed this car. He shared a pasteup of his initial ideas. I merely translated his ideas into the images you see. What a great experience. We started with the profile drawing then moved into the 3/4 images. Donn taught me a ton about custom proportions during this build, and was kind enough to invite me to see the top get cut. It's flat out amazing to watch a true craftsman at work.

*****in', Mickey is a talented guy and a hoot to hang with. Maybe you can talk him into doing the interior on Cari's caddy.

I think because it´s so hard to get it right.

What a great job on this car though! Best Kustom 40 that I can remember seeing.

    Excellent renderings Blackie.

The lower trim piece from the front fenderwell to the rear is one of the best executed styling details I've ever seen. vic

    Those hubcaps look really trick.
Did anyone snap a shot of the engine, by the way?

Hubcaps are wheels! One offs.... that might find their way into production later.

Not sure if I photographed the engine... will see.

Fantastic Car, and what a nice guy Donn Lowe is!

Here are a couple more shots I took with all the panels closed. I did not get into the building #5 where this car was until later on Thursday, and they had already put the car on the stanches. I ever got to see it on the ground. But as far as I know this will be the only show it will not sit on the floor.

Is that a '55 Chevy front bumper on the rear? and what did he do for those sweet headlight rings?

Beautiful car I really like the chop, I was wondering about where it came from, I figured a car that beautiful would have had some build pics posted somewhere .
