Yep ..My pick too (as if it counts!!lol) really tough to pick but the side and rear 3/4 profiles of this beautiful coupe are stunning..to say the least. 2nd : Hoffman /Rodriguez 40 merc - Paisano/Ogen/McCormick Buick tied for 2nd and the TakeOut T all tied up
Didn't get a chance to go this year, but man I can't wait to see that car in person. Now one of my fav's.
For historical coolness and all around usability it was the sectioned ***ian colored '40 coupe "198C". A Bonneville contender full custom survivor. Just outstanding. But the other cars mentioned were great too. I remember going to car shows where there were maybe one or two cars that I liked. At the GNRS there is always sweet sensory overload. Thanks Axle!
The Dal Porto roadster did it for me (the black track roadster in post#17). VanGo ran a close second. vic
Rudy's Merc was amazing and he could not have been a nicer guy. Stood there next to the car and answered any question anyone had or just shot the breeze. Absolutely no at***ude at all! That guy is a TOTAL CL*** ACT... 100%!
The Rudy built Merc was one of my favorites. I wouldnt want to meet that thing in a dark alley! THe Take-out T that one just goes with out saying! Cobys Van was also really neat. I really liked the Brian B*** built, Steve Ernst owned 32, The dallas crew stopped by the shop on there way out and we got to take a close look at the beauty. I think that is why the G.N.R.S. is such an amazing show, there are so many amazing cars there. The History of Customs, the lowrider building so much cool stuff! Cant wait for next year! Jimmy White
