Hello everyone. I am new to the HAMB.....I have recentley obtained an ejection seat from an aircraft unit. I know absolutely nothing about this and was wondering if anyone had any knowledge on these things. The back of it is stamped with a plate that has some info on it. It says seat, pilots adjustable ...has spec mil-s-7832a(aer)..has a fed stock number, mfg number and serial number..it was made by aircraft mechanics inc. in Colorado..and says US property. I obtained this unit at an auction and would love some input if there is any out there..

Thanks everyone...I kinda thought it was to eject you from an airplane..haha..I am a car lover of all kinds. I actually work for an automobile dealer. I buy, sell and trade everything, all the time.(except my wife and son).haha. I will post this info on the main page as you suggested. Thanks everyone.

Need a pic or 2. Could be a portion of an AcesII, but will just have to see it.

Sorry to say, this is not an ejection seat. More then likely it's small recon aircraft.

It does sound like ACES ii (advanced concept ejection seat). This seat was designed by Douglas Aircraft back in the 70s and built in Long Beach Ca. The project was moved to Florida until AMI - a division of Goodrich- acquired the whole program. it's still very much in production and -I believe- with over 300 punch outs has never had a failure.
It is a pretty amazing chunk of technology.
I've been making parts for it for years-
