What kind of cars are we looking for?

I've gotten a lot of emails asking about the type of car we are looking for at the Revolution, so I thought I would post the best answer I could come up with.

The revolution has been hosted in NorCal and I'd say about 60% of the cars that have attended in the past were pretty traditional post and pre-war hot rods. This is mostly because that is the style that really reigns in that area. However, we have also hosted 50's and early 60's styled cars as well.

Because the show is in Texas this year, I would imagine the percentages will change a bit. Hot Rodding didn't really get kicked off here until the 1950's, so it's only natural that we would see less of the really early stuff and more of the 1950's styled. That's cool...

I'm sure we will have a car or two at the event with radial tires and I'm sure we will have a car or two there with disc brakes. I don't, however, think you will see many cars with both. We are gonna do our best to stay fairly strict to the traditional side of things, but I'm sure one or two will slip by... We aren't gonna lose much sleep over it.

Here's a few shots of cars already registered...

as always we'll get a kick out of the guy with 24's and IFS sticking out front with his oval led trailer lights for tail lights

It's great to be choosy! I would love for there to be a show like the A-Bombers Old Style Weekend somewhere on our side of the pond that really focuses on a specific style. This sure sounds like the closest thing to it!

I was in Pigeon Forge a couple of weeks ago and was a little surprised to see some traditional cars arrive on trailers. If I can't drive them I don't need them. Just my opinion.

  8. yeah, that car is pretty nice, just kinda stumped on the way the body was cut...? took the time to make the roadster style stanchions and windshield frame fit, but then leave the tops of the doors and quarters like that? hhhmmm....

Would by little orange coupe qualify, I built it in my shop out of old parts except for the master cylinder, motor and wiring. everything else came from a junkyard or was fabricated by me.
