I've got a Mopar 8-3/4" and my carriers are the #742 Cases. I'm looking for a 2.76 - 3.00 ring and pinion gear set for this.

Can you tell me where I can buy a new set at ?

If you have a link to the part that would be greatly appreciated too.

    Thanks guys !

    Many Thanks Mate!
Your correct, it would not be cost effective.

Do you know of any companies that are making them new?

You may want to go to a Mopar site for this. I suggest www.moparts.com but there are many others. Gene

Most any of the big cars from the sixties and early seventies will have 2.76 - 3.00 gears in the pumpkin. I know that C body stuff is geting harder to find these days, but if you look, it's still out there. New, I don't know what to tell you. I do have a set, but I need to keep them for another project.

I thought they quit using the 8.75" rear before they started making cordobas.

It's not so easy to find big late 60s mopars in the junkyards these days.

Ya, I'm pretty sure '74 was the last year of the 8.75. might look at trucks too.
