Sorry for your loss. One of our bands dancers and biggest supporters started a charity when she found out she was terminal last year. Not sure if this is what you had in mind, but their focus is to help the patient and their family, not research. Here's a link if you'd like to check it out.

Sorry to hear about your Father, RIP...

 

Sorry for your loss, I lost my mom a month ago to lung cancer. We sent donations to the local Hospice to help build a hospice house.

Im sorry to hear about your Pop, that has to be really hard to go through. One of my best friends sisters had Leukemia from the age of 5-15. It was 10 years of hell for that family, and even for friends like myself to watch the struggle. They didnt think she was going to make it, but thank God she pulled through and has been in remission for about 6 yrs now. I hope you are doing ok....take care man.

 

I lost my Dad 2-years ago this past January 7th. I still remember the phone call @6AM, from the nursing home Chaplain ... it's still like it happened, only this morning. They say "Time Heals All Wounds", but ..... I'll say a prayer for you & your family and even though it might seem shallow, Hang In There and God Bless.

Also, I can't say enough about Hospice care. My family received more care and compassion in the 10 days that they were involved with Dad, than we did in over a year with all the other caregivers. Good Luck with your efforts.

It is so hard knowing that he os gone, I will never forget the phone call from my sister tellin me that he was gone..... The man I thought would be there forever is gone.... But he lives on in me and I will do everything I can to make him proud of me until the day I die!!! He was my hero my best friend!!!




I am workin on setting up an acct for donations and I think donating to the hospice would be an awesome idea!!! I am alsoo lookin at building another car that will get austioned off with all the profits will go to a charity or hospice

Thank you so much bro!! Yeah he was my best friend! He was so proud to see me building these cars and I had hoped he would be here the day I finished it But I did find a way to honor him and that is by mixing in some of his ashes into the paint on my 42 chevy!! That way he will be there when I take her out on that 1st cruise!!!

I hope he would be proud of me doing what I can to raise some money to help others that are in his situation, I want to build another car and auction it off and give all the profits from it to a hospice

Hey brother...my dad is battlling lung cancer and I see him suffering everyday, Taught me everything I know about cars and just about everything else....my condolences to you and yours. Stay strong.

 

My thoughts are with you and your family. I lost my dad in 2001. Technically, he was my step-dad, but I can tell you he was the only dad I ever had. We had a chance to sit down and talk about life about a week before he passed. We went over his wishes, my thoughts, and our time together. It was one of the greatest and saddest times I have ever had. Unfortunately, I had to come back to California, so I wasn't there when he passed. I miss him dearly.
