I have been looking for a Chevy II 153 CI four cyclinder for my model a for some time. Someone contacted me and said they had a Chevy six 194 CI motor. Does anyone out there know if the sizes of these two motors are approx the same. I want a small motor and I do not want to tear up my firewall. thanks for any help on this. tom

The 6 cyl is about 9 inches longer than than the 4 cyl. The dimensions are virtually the same except for the lenght. I think you are confusing small (as in cubic inches) with the physical dimensions of the engine. The Chevy 4 cyl was also used in boats and you may be able to find one at a boat dealer.
