This auction is also to give a hand to a little girl named Alexis (and her family) who could use one right now....for the story, see here: http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=552380 This is a pair of "script" SBC valve covers. They are the straight bolt covers, and the wire harness clips are completely intact (kind of rare as they generally seem to break off). Flanges aren't bent- no cracks anywhere. They are SBC, not Ford, and therefore aren't for a REAL engine, but nothing's perfect. I apologize for the pictures as I'm not much of a photographer, , but a couple of notes- the "smudge" in the top picture is NOT rust, s****e damage, or anything nasty- looks like possibly rubbing from a plug wire. The coloring on the insides is NOT serious rust...mostly surface discoloration plus some overspray. These really are in nice shape. Someone painted them, but it wouldn't hurt to do it again. Auction ends on Wed. Feb. 2 at 6:00 pm Central....winner makes the payment to AlexisWilleyFoundation@hotmail.com . When I'm notified, I'll get 'em packed & shipped to ya. Guys & gals, I'm not much for inspiring speeches, but here's a chance to help out a little girl who's getting a rough shake from life just now, and to improve the looks of that horrible grease-encrusted Chevy that you've been ashamed of for so long. It's a win-win situation! Stop the abuse that's been hurled at you from even Mopar fans...(oh, the shame...) and step up!
evening bump...still a couple of days left. Help a little girl out, be traditional, and improve your SBC to a new level of awesomeness , all at the same time. Now what could be better than all that?
