    Hello,
I just registered this morning. Back in March of 09, i bought a 2dr 51 Cranbrook. I think it is an original AZ car, pretty clean body and all gl*** is good. The car came with full interior. I would really like to put it on a Dakota ch***is. My grandma (15 miles away) has a 92 Dakota that she will sell me for $1500. She is the original owner of the Dakota. I'm looking for driveability over anything. The Dakota drives great, and measurements have been looking good so far. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

    thanks

  3. yup ya could reframe the thing.. if ya wanted... lot of sheet metal work though.. with a shock and brake upgrade those cars are actually decent runners.. or you can do what I and binder46 are doing.. take just the front clip and slide it into the original frame... heres a thread about it :) http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=429955

hey berickson, i have a 54 savoy 2 dr. and i drive a 92 dakota! Also have a 84 dakota out behind the garage. im very interested in how your project is going to pan out. keep posting youre progress. i was thinking of something along the same lines as you are. but i think that flat 6cyl. kinda makes the car unique. but on the other hand the magnum f.i. in the dakota is on point for drivability. good luck.

Thanks for all the support guys. I am selling a vehicle now to get some cash flow to dive into the project. I plan on buying the dakota and using that as a daily until I gather as many foreseen parts and materials as possible. I managed to get some pictures posted tonight.
