Anyone recognize this truck from Great lakes Dragway

I bought this truck in Wisconsin and it has decals from Great Lakes Dragway on it. I'm thinking it was probably from the 60's or 70's. It looks like it was chopped about then with blue metallic paint. The guy I bought it from put it on the ch***is it's on now and drilled the holes in the visor so I don't know if it ran with hood sides and fenders back then. Just thought it would be interesting if I could get some history on the truck.

 

I see it is set up for winter drags. Cool project you have there.

 

Thanks Jim. I bought it a couple of years ago and ran out of time to work on it. Hopefully when it warms up a little around here I can get working on it again. Hard to get motivated when its below zero outside.

Never saw it before but it looks like you have one cool project. I never owned a truck like that but in the 50's had a p***ion for one and never got it.Your lucky to have it as complete with a lot of cool looking parts and hope you have good luck with it.
