I've been trying for some time to find some detail shots of the front and rear splash pans on the Kurt McCormick's '41 Buick (parked next to the Westergard Cadillac). I even PM'd Barry Mazza who got back to me but didn't have any shots specifically of those details. If somebody can snap some detail shots and post 'em up I'd be much obliged!

Man, Rik, if you took that many shots of the gravel pan of one car, how many shots did you take total at the show?? Your coverage will be killer.

The Paisano Brothers 41 Buick was one of THE Customs that the majority of people where most looking forward to seeing. To some, the first half of the building went over their heads - the exception being this black beauty 41 Buick. There was just something about that car ....

When they took down the ropes I stared at that Buick and the Westergard Cadillac next to it for at least 30 minutes. I think I spent a total of 5 hours in the building over the weekend, if not more. Truly amazing.

I want to say.......that 41 is just the most over powering Kustom of the 40's era in my humble opinion. When next to Fords and other cars of the 40's it just dwarfs them in its size and over the top scale. If you Carson top cars from the 40's what can I say.
To this day this is my all time favorite ride......I'am so glad others got to see it in person and check it out close up.

The pans..........well the back one was completly replaced but, exactly like it was originally, the front was welded on solid and I added ends to it to resemble the rear. I thought it would look better than the stock front pan which ends a few inchs from the end of the bumper.

Rik - THANKS MAN!!!!!! That was really cool of you to set up and snap those shots. They're awesome, and exactly what I was looking for.

Barry, thanks also for the extra info. I may bother you some more offline (or PMs at least) to pick your brain a little bit about some stuff that you did on that car. It is one of my all-time favorites, and I've got a lot of respect for the changes you made...AND the ones you didn't...to the "original" version.

    Thanks again.
