Nostalgic Show & GO! Phoenix Sunday April 3

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by applekrate, Jan 24, 2011.

  1. Sunday April 3 I will again be hosting the Nostalgic Show & GO! at Speedworld.
Headlining this year will be mid and early 60's A/FXers and altered wheelbase cars. There will also be a 8 second street car shoot out and will be cackling my front motor Top Fueler on 98% nitro. Car show with prizes, great music, drag cl***es, exhibitions, timed and fun runs and a mid day parade.
All are welcome. Please tell your friends.

Sorry to learn this. What are ya' building? I won't have my altered wheellbase car finished yet either but, still may bring it.

  5. One week from today at Speedworld. We'll have A/FX'ers, blown altereds, a few blown nitro diggers, multiple brackets for 1981 and older.
Plus car show welcoming hot rods, anything vintage.
Also will have an 8 second street car shoot out! Who is king of the streets in Arizona?

Not sure but, all Hambers here are certainly welcome. If you come to show, your wife or girlfriend gets in for free.

If you like nitro and vintage stuff, I will be trying to better our 6.77 200mph best using a 1960 389 Pontiac block with a lot of one off custom parts I either built myself or had friends help me. I can only afford to run it once or twice a year anymore due to money being really tight. That is frustrating having it but, no longer having the money to operate it. Nonetheless, I'll be trying. We may have a special surprise or 2 I cannot mention.

Here are some pics from last year and, maybe some from years past if I can find some here.

A couple of blown altered getting ready to match off one another..! The guy standing in the middle is Ron Maroney. He has his own nitro car but, also drives my Blown nitro digger.

I'm heading out Sunday with about 10 of my racing buddies and running our cars, Mark is rolling out today with his 62 Tempest and running the Pontiac Heaven event. Should have good weather plus it will be a treat for us not having to do anything but race :D

    Thanks Steve,
We all had a great time, very smooth event for the racers, the day just flew by.
I couldnt catch a light though, I got put out first round by some youngster. I did some tunning and ran time only the rest of the day & earned myself a new best ET 11.65 @ 112 MPH - and my bud "Neva Wray" won runner up in Hotrod 2 with her 55 Nash Wagon ........... Any Pics?
