I like where this is headed. Seems like an exceptionally nice car to start with. Any idea what kind of wheels/tires you're going to run on it?

  4. I love the way it looks, I just think the bumper might look cooler a little higher. Don't get me wrong it's a sick car so far

Is the Lincoln Y-block still lurking under the hood?

  6. I like the bumper and grill openings flow. Looking good.

What colors do you plan to use? I've been looking into 60's style paint schemes and there are so many different options. Looks great so far though!

Nice, I dig the quads, and sprinkle some clipper tail lights on the back.

Thanks for the comments,to answer a few questions yes it still has the 317 y block and hydro, the bumper is going to be molded to the body with only the bullets getting chromed and there will be turn signals frenched in above the bullets, not sure of wheels yet,The interior is all new and is red and black so the outside colors will have to be something to go with that, the quarter panels are going to get scooped, and the rear will also be customized,we dont really plan too much out just vision it as we go,thanks again.

  13. I'm not in the cheer squad on this one. I think the lights look too big and the grille opening too puny and mealy mouthed. And the bumper is way too low.

  14. I kinda gotta agree with X38. I like the concept, but the proportions dont look right.

I was kinda worried about the bumper height also, but there is really no room to move it up anymore,it has been moved up about an inch and a half from the stock location already, once the turn signals are maid and set in place they will take up some of the bare space around the grill and pull it all togeather,Thanks again for the replies

A few quick mock-up pics of the lights to show the size of the openings.

It defiantly looks better with the lights in there but just my humble opinion is that the headlights need to be recessed to give some depth of field/character.

Always loved the big Lincolns no matter what year so I will be following this build.

The lights will be recessed in once finished, they are just setting there now,the grill will also be recessed alittle, this is just the rough begining there will be alot more molding and frenching in done on the front before its finished, thank you for your opinions

Are those 7" bulbs?? I can't really tell, but if they are, you might be inclined to use 5 3/4" bulbs and shrink the bezels down some...I think that would give it a tighter, crisper look...just thinking out loud...

Yes they are 7 inch bulbs, the front bumper is the original center bar of the grill flipped upsidedown and shortend.
