As great as the old masters were it's comforting to know there are those that walk with us today that can match them stroke for stroke. Awesome just barely scratches the surface. Frank
My sentiments too! I just want to add that I am not responsible for the photos or the video. I'm just a fan, like you guys.
It is great that someone got both those cars together for a photo shoot/video. And the sad thing is that Cole's car was parked outside @ the GNRS. Chris
X2- I could not believe that the 36 was not invited to be inside building 9, as for the Merc pure kustom porn
That is just way over the top of both of those cars in one place at the same time. This happend a few years ago in Scottsdale when Timebomb john's 36 vert and Cole's build were at the same place and they did same photos. PURE SEX. When that happened. If I had one compliant is that Cole's build was not inside the custom display because it should have been but being parked outside made it have that just more of bad boy rep being the outsider. I for one have been using Cole's build as the main blue print for my build in the link below and keep any photos I can of this car and spent well over an hour just looking at the car outside of the custom display this year. Rudy as well is become one of the top 5 builders in my book along with Cole and Bass. Just my .02
Nothing works better for a slippery black car than overhead lights. Two of them is just too much. Incredible.
I'll get BANNED for saying this...as the '36, on it's own, looks totally pissed, but it looks "sedated" next to that Merc.....maybe the baddest fuckin' car on the PLANET...
Agreed. But I'd like to see that '51 Mercury you built parked there with them. That one was PERFECT too. You guys have shown the proper way to build '36, '40, and '51 FoMoCo products.
Oh yeah. The Cole Foster/Hammett '36 Coupe is so high on the list it gets nosebleeds. That's the first I've seen of that particular car built by Rudy. Both are amazing.
Last May I had the privelege of standing in that workshop & looking at that awesome Merc (it was nearing completion). Will post some of the photos I took over the next week. So many of the comments on this thread sum it up perfectly. Can't say any more .............................!
This has to be THE MOST AWESOME SHOOT EVER. If cars are art, this has to be the Mona Lisa of the auto world. This is the stuff that dreams are made of!
Hang in there Mick. I was the chosen one.. I'm workin on it. btw, the ship carrying the '36 just happened to return from Mooneyes Tokyo ahead of schedule, which allowed for this shoot and to attend GNRS. That's why it was parked outside.
