I have been on here the last couple of months lurking in the shadows and soaking up information. Found a lot of good useful info on here so kudus to you fellas! Been building hot rods, customs, motorcycles and just plain dangerous wheeled equipment since I was old enough to drive. Overpowered and underbraked was a way of life. Really surprised I lived this long. Current working on a 1917 buick truck with a 500 caddy, six 94's and a t98 trans behind it. Bought it as an aborted attempt at a rat rod and I have been working the last 5 months to make it into a drivable and reasonably safe traditional rod. I will get some pictures up as soon as I can and give some knowledge back to the forum. I adapted the distributor from of a YL mallory unit for a chevy. Surprisingly easy to do with a minimum of lathe work and a little aluminum stock. Also have a creative hidden alternator that I will get up if it works. Thanks guys and see you later
