Out with the new, and back to the Old--got tired of messing around with all the electrics in a Grand National, and just bought a 70%-complete '30 Tudor-love it so far. Hope to learn here, starting with sorting out State hassles with registration.
Where in GA? I'm at Rockmart, about 20 miles south of Rome. Henrietta the '38 Ford pickup and Ozelle the '55 Ford send friendly horn honks. I feel your pain on all the electronics and computerized stuff on the newer vehicles. I like my old vehicles because there's nothing on them I don't understand and nothing I can't fix if it breaks. Sometimes, after dealing with people all day, it's refreshing to raise the hood on one of my old Fords and see something I understand and something I can fix.

I'm in Lawrenceville, Northeast of ATL. Captmullette; funny you mention Dacula; that's where we're tearing down the car.
Lots of family ties to Gwinnett County, some of my maternal grandmother's people are buried at Hog Mountain Baptist Church near Dacula. Friend of mine, Ron Middleton, was pastor of a church near Dacula back in the '80s, Baptist, don't remember the name of the church. Another Baptist preacher friend who is also a good mechanic and traditional hot rodder, Larry Peace, had a white '40 Ford coupe, was up at Flowery Branch the last I heard.
