Anyone near Charlotte NC working on a Model A Coupe ? I would like to stop by to see how the panels over the windshield / front roof sections are aligned. If you are not nearby, how about a diagram. I want to get it right the first time.

    Thanks,
    Bob

    What year? And which panels?

There is a header panel, thats what the windshield hinge is attatched to.

There's the visor. On 30/31's this is flush with the top. On 28/29's its bigger and screws on from the sides, plus there's a metal lip extending above it capping the wood.

There's the roof side panels. On 30/31's this is part of the whole side of the car including quarter panels and quarter windows. On 28/29's they are separate pieces, along with separate quarter windows and separate quarter panels.

Trust me I know how useful it is to see it. I'll try to dig up appropriate photos.

The car is a 1930 Model A Coupe. The roof side panels are in place, but just about everything above the windshield has been removed, except for a length of 1 in. angle iron running across the top. I think I have all the parts, but am not sure, it's a puzzle. A few photos or a diagram would be great.

    Thanks,
    Bob

Are you using the stock wood header? Or are you going to make a steel header?

I just ordered the top wood kit. When it arrives I may have a better chance of solving the puzzle. A picture is worth a thousand words, anyone got one?

  8. Bob post up some pics of what you have and some might be able to help point out what parts go where and so on for you
