Does anyone have any good pics of this color combo. It is a pretty rare option. My 9 passenger beauville is this color by code, but I think the gold is actually off. I am wanting to repaint it this spring but want know what it really would look like. Thanks Joe

If that is a true code color, I know mine is way to brown, metallic. I like the color but if regardless of code, I want to be happy driving behind the wheel of it.

My wife is in left field and seen an old copy of street rodder at the shop. There is a 58 pontiac wagon that is of light green. Google that, she wants it that color, I don't know.

Feb, 2009 issue of Rod & Custom. That is a bad ass Safari. A California car. I am sure someone here is familiar with it.

My Nomad was originally Sierra Gold (bronze)) and Adobe Beige. I've seen '56s and '57s all over the map when it comes to variations of Sierra Gold, and that is likely the case with Grecian Gold as well. Depends on who mixes it, how it's sprayed, etc

I love your Beauville, ESPECIALLY the color. Great car!

Somewhere I've got a picture of a '56 Nomad in Grecian Gold and Calypso Creme that I took back in '73 or '74. I'll have to find it and scan it for you.

I have a friend that has told me numerous times to paint it sierra gold and adobe biege. I like the colors they are actually. I think it is a pretty rare color combo, but my wife HATES the gold. We seen one in Portland a couple years ago that set the hook for us to get a nine passenger 56. I'll get a pic up soon of it. She loves that color combo. Kind of opposite of ours with the light being the dominant color and the dark being the accent color.
Since the pic I posted above, it has been lowered and changed to stock painted steel wheels, (gold), with spider caps. Today I ordered skirts and will run bellflowers. So I am not set on the color being code correct. She just keeps bringing up the green safari.

Here is the 56 from Portland, I believe the Owner is Ron Place, to give credit.

My first car was a 56 Bel Air 2 door sedan. I got it in 64. It had the original paint from the factory which was Sierra Gold and Adobe Beige. The Sierra Gold was almost a copper/brown/bronze metallic. The Adobe Beige was a little darker than an eggshell white. Loved that car. I know some car colors are Grecian Gold and Calypso Creme Chevy. Nice color combo though and beautiful car.
