Hi everyone. I'm slowly restoring/hot rodding a 1952 Pontiac Chiftain that I've had for the past 16 years. i've lurked on the H.A.M.B. for a while, and have enjoyed the forums. i'm always looking for cool vintage parts for the big Chief, specifically a finned aluminum head and dual intake for the flat head eight.

Welcome to the party! The search bar is your friend and will help you find any info on the big Chief. This is the right place for hot rods.

Welcome, I have a 51 Chieftain with the 239 flathead six. I hope you have better luck on the intake than I did. Have any pics?

I've located a few intakes. Only ever saw one head, and it was on ebay a few months ago. I might go with a vintage Speed dual carb "Y" intake just becaus eit comes with new carbs. I have some pics of it currently, will try to post.

And a few more. The engine looked like this when I got it back on the road 3 years ago, and the other pic is how it looked last summer.

Looking good. I went for the black and red look myself. I do wish mine had the straight 8 though.

I'll be painting the block again, maybe a dark green like the original color, and am upgrading the wires. I found a might try to get stainless fuel and vacuum lines as well. getting a new split exhaust with Smithy mufflers in the spring.
