HAHAHA!! I just went back and looked at the pics again...where did you get that giant middle finger!? I need one of those. G.
Found the finger at the Santa Cruz flea market...It was from the Sea Beeze bar in Rio Del Mar. Carved from a single piece of wood.
Chopper Day Whoo hoo! another almost perfect bike (it's too short for a fat *******.. me) I have one question though, Where did you get this?
What year is that? I've got an '83 that I'd like to give a similar treatment to, but the only source I've found for the kickstart stuff is EXPENSIVE and not even guaranteed to work. Is that a factory kickstart? Any other stuff you have on the specs would be handy as well, the stuff xadamx asked for would be great. Thanks and GREAT looking bike...
I love that color, did you use rattle can clear also?? Do you have any trouble with your oil pump puking oil out the vent tube? Mine looses like damn near a quart every time I start it... very cool ride!
Very cool looking bike ! Stance, colors, proportions.Especially like the fender-tail light-strut-and license plate combo and considering you only spent a little bit over two grand just shows that money won't buy you taste. The bike is pure Hot Rod !
Did you paint that in your kitchen? Ed PS- Nice scoot. Frisco style aint my style, but mount your tank where you like it.
Cute little"skirtster"(kidding).Nice bike! Intrested in a set of forward controls??New, in the box.$200.00 AL
what year is that? this kid that went to school with me had an ironhead, that looked just as sick.he used to rear brake crossover to hook up the shifter on the left hand side.it was a jockey shift when he got through with it,and it looked pretty trick
Cool bike.........What ever happened to this one? Or maybe it was not you that was building it. Chris Nelson Kansas
Weld on hardtail to the original frame. Way to go since a Paughco is like $800 out of any catalog you see. Looks like a 16" rear and 21" front to me. ****er is on the same wavelength as me. I have been planning a frisco style chop for some time using a sporty. Seems like lots of folks are of the idea that sportsters aren't chop material, but back in the day they WERE IT. I'm kinda glad that everyone wants big inch chops, more **** out there for me.
thank you for not screwing that bike up with a stupid looking long front end and equally stupid looking tall handlebars. good job!!!!! i'm not being sarcastic, i'm serious.
Dumb question, but what year is it and is this what you started with? I have a buddy that is a Harley guy and he told me that he could find one and I showed him your bike and he really liked it. Chris Nelson Kansas
This is the bike I started with, complete and running 1970. I used the front of the frame, the engine, and the rear wheel. And I'm down to $2255 total investment now after selling the starter, I still have a few parts to sell and hope to have the total cost under 2K. -Jeff
I have had a BUNCH of sportsters and some glides along the way.....sportsters rock. I'm glad not everyone likes em....keeps the price down on the coolest thing HD ever manufacturered.......Yours looks just like they're supposed to....****IN PERFECT!!!!
