For anyone that was at Rancho Deluxe for the Fuel Magazine issue 5 launch party you will know that Ben puts on a great afternoon. We usually fill those little back streets of Collingwood with some pretty cool hot rods and traditional customs.

Well Ben has graciously offered up his shop once more for another shindig.

In March last year the Vultures CC made a major road trip from Melbourne to Hobart (no easy task) and publisher of Fuel Magazine and photographer extraordinaire, Luke Ray, a.k.a. Fuel01 weaseled his way onto the boat and took some sneaky pics of the trip. Now he has published them in a photographic diary of 232 pages, hard bound, signed and numbered in a limited run of 500 books.

Together with Luke we are proud to be launching this book at Rancho Deluxe on February 20 from 1pm.

It is also the launch of Luke's latest offering of Fuel magazine. This mag just keeps getting better and better.

I think I am probably preaching to the choir when I invite you to bring along your appropriate ride and make this another street party to remember....although I have forgotten whole sections of the last one.

You can also order the Vultures book online....somehow.

ben may put on a swell party, but surly it was chris's 12 hour chilly that made the last party................ bring on the chilly dogs.

I heard a rumour that the chilli was making a comeback (no pun intended) on the 20th. Not sure Chris knows about it though.

Dave Beljan will be taking charge of the BBQ on the day with ample support from the Vultures. His famous chevapchis will make an appearance all for the meager price of a gold coin. Onions optional....no change given.

More surprises yet to be announced.

A bump for the U.S. guys that might like a book with heaps of great hot rod road trip photos and a bunch of mates generally having a ball over about 4 days.

Not sure why there are no pictures of the midget or DJ Dingo's *** cheeks (maybe just plain good taste on Luke's part) but maybe you can start to get the picture as to how this road trip ran.

By the way. Anyone who has had a look or who has the good fortune to own the latest HAMB calendar, you may recognise the quality of the photos in this book. Luke shot the cover of this year's HAMB calendar. The very same smooth flathead engined '32 will also be seen in it's natural surroundings on the 20th. It lives at Rancho Deluxe.

It is also in the Vultures book because Ben made the trip to T***ie too.
(Most of the other Kardinals weren't allowed out overnight). He got it wet and muddy too. It's a driver.

Yeah Steve, Wayne got the Chev back on the road and sold while we were in T***ie.

You'd think by now I'd know my left from my right. See that's what comes from looking at too many US web sites.

Thanks for posting this Pete, I'm really looking forward to the day.

Steve, I replied to your email. I pointed you towards the online shop where the shipping costs can been seen. Shipping to the US is not $55 so I'm not sure how you came to that figure. How else may I be of ***istance?

So, are any of you coming? It's also the launch of my hot rod you know? Well, it will be the first time I've driven it to an event legally ;)

I am a bit embarr***ed. It's nearly time to take it off the road for a rebuild.

I won't be able to make it. But I am the proud owner of book number 265 of 500. The trip looked like a blast, I know you guys will have some fun at the launch!
