Event Coverage HotRods ONLY! Bun N Barrel Sat Nite

Open invite to all pre-60's hotrods in San Antonio and surrounding areas. Late notice on purpose, sssshhhhh! don't want a bunch of mustangs and corvettes showing up(ants at a picnic). Good parking, good food, cold beer, cold beer(yeah I typed it twice on purpose). The Barrel was and still is a great Hotrod spot, let the tuners have Biff's, the impalas/caprices have Pig Stand, the Bun N Barrel needs to stay "Hotrod Heaven". No DJ, no radio station, just "knuckle busters", cool rods, some "pin-ups" would be nice, and enjoy! See Ya There!!!! *******TONIGHT********

gonna head out about 5-30-6pm, goin to Butch's to look at a 54 ford first, then to the Barrel... you in Boernestage?

 

Warm places have all the fun, I'm stuck up here in the panhandle sitting by the fire cause ist freezing outside. maybe I'll check ya'll out this summer. Take my 29 down there and cruise. Do ya'll do this on a regular basis or spur of the moment?

hey chris, you might wanna look at this 54 ford, if i don't buy it you can have a shot at it. it's complete, pretty staright and has all the trim pieces and dirt cheap!

 

man i am tryin to get me a fleetline out of del rio but that prob wont happen what kind of ford is it? you should get it youneed a kustom! i am tryin to get trent to get on board. call me this sounds fun.

 

we cant get anybody else on board for some great weather and even better hot rod drive in? come on guys lets get this goin.

 

yeah, butch and i are already planning a drive in nite... i've got the equipment in my shop, we are working on a location. and yeah, i want a custom bad. it's a 54 customline, i've always had a hardon for them... drop axles, a little Boernestage magic on the roof, white pleets interior... **** i need a cigarette after that!

 

i hear ya do it! do it! do it! we can make that roof look sick for not alot of dough.i am workin on trent. are you workin tommorow? we are but we will be ready for this by the end of the day.

Would a traditional custom 60' Galaxie Starliner cut it? Its not exactly a Hot Rod or pre-60's, but it does have dual quads.

 

bring it on, galxies are sick, especially early sixties. i think we will be there arond 7 or 7:30 hope to see ya there!

you want to talk about guys that don't use their cars , those guys are the worst right there, they are great guys but damn get in your cars and use those things we are not gettin any younger, times a wastin'. i will call some of them tommorow and see if i can get them off their couches!

cool thanzx man, i live right down the road from bun and barrel, so i know i will be there for sure, but i definately will p*** the word to some club members and fellow rodders as well.
