Does anyone remember the old "Crown Conversion" for a midengine corvair? Anyone still have on?

They pop up from time to time on E-bay. If I remember right they were basically an adapter plate to bolt the SBC to a flopped over transaxle and included a bigger, stronger input shaft for the trans. Motor mounts and a fibergl*** box/cover took over what was the back seat.

I saw one today at the Indy world of wheels. Was a member of a local Corvair club.

Had one in the early eighties. Crown. Clarks Corvair still sells the parts for the conversion or at least the did, last I checked. Not a good set-up for taller drivers. Perfect for a 5'10"
    or shorter.

I recently sold this Art Silva kit for a friend. Puts a 215 Buick in the original engine bay. Had it on Omaha Craigslist for weeks. Guy from Arkansas bought it.
