Didn't get to spend as much time as I wanted to there, but I did manage to shoot some good photos that represent this year's show!
Bill Bronson's deuce roadster-originally the give-away car at the 1950 autorama! Also pictured is his dragster, both cars originally owned by his grandpa, his dad, and now himself! The other deuce coupe pictured here is kind of a mystery car to me, don't know anything about it, but very cool!
Rest of my photos are from the building that houses the "show cars" that you would expect to see at an indoor show this time of year. The roadster & nailhead powered coupe are fairly local to the area. The Lincoln powered Deuce roadster is a beautiful piece, especially that engine. Other Lincoln touches include the door push****ons, hubcaps, wheels?, inst. cluster/stg wheel, taillights.
I went too! The Lincoln powered 32 was my favorite. The heads appeared to have been ceramic coated, anyone know for sure? The engine is a work of art alone.
The best part of the show was Gene Winfield gave a free seminar. It was really just a question and answer type thing but it was really cool. There was only about 10 people there wich was cool because you could ask alot of questions but it is kinda sad more people didn't take advantage. Gene is the coolest.
I got to talk with Gene Winfield a couple minutes, but I had to leave before the seminar How come the people I go with never want to stay all day? They think it is time to go once you have seen all the cars...
Yeah, I remember going to Bill's house when I was a kid with my dad and seeing this sitting out back in the barn! I called Bill a few years ago and mentioned I'd like to get that out, wash it off, and haul it around to some car shows. I think thats what made him decide to start taking it to shows himself. Here is another shot of it outdoors with my Chevy behind it.
Not a Lincoln motor, Heads are our Polished aluminum ones....Its a 371 Olds Rocket that we just recently finished Tony
