I spent about twenty years road racing sports cars before the hot rod bug bit me.

For several years now I have been building a '34 5 window for my wife. It was her Uncle's car and we got it all original. She wants a resto-rod so that's what she's got (imagine that). With its 302 and AOD it will be a cruiser. It's close to being on the road, done except for paint and new chrome. The black lacquer you see on it here was applied sometime in the mid '60s. We want to drive it a while and make sure every thing is OK before blowing it apart for final paint.

In the '60s I lived in San Diego and my neighbor's kid had a Model A Tudor that I thought was just the coolest car. So I bought one about a year ago for my next project. I hoped to drive it until I had a chance to redo it but the workmanship is so shoddy I have deemed it unsafe to drive. I am going to rebuild it as a '60s era hot rod and should start on it this spring.

I expect I will have lots of questions but few posts as I don't know much,

If that 60's paint is as good as it looks, you may not want to redo it. Nothing wrong with keeping the 60's alive...........

Welcome aboard from Maryland. COOL RIDE!

Man, I drove right by your house twice this morning. I still have front and rear suspension, radiator, wheels and (dry rotted) tires, a flathead, the ******, and maybe a few other odds and ends. I'll drop you a private message.
