  2. No thanks to me, thank all the guys who raced, their crews, the promoters, the fans and the photographers that captured every photo, they are the ones who deserve the thanks. I'm just here helping pass along the stories that are told from the past. Keep history alive! But your welcome from me, for posting them :)

The #71 supermodified was built and owned by the Austin Bros. from Rochester, NY. Ray Sand drove the car from mid '72 - early '75 when it was sold to Cicero, NY's Jimmy Winks. Jim sold the car after 1975 and then it disappeared into oblivion, as so many race cars do. -Don Kranz photo

Jackie Wilson must be the last guy to wear a Sam Brown belt.. I like them very much but the local tracks banned them in the early 60s..This is the latest date photo I ever recall of seeing one..

    Hi,

Who's driving the No. VO Gremlin in post No. 8865?

    Thanks,
    JB

PS: Forgive me, RomanFan, but I dropped your cool Evans Mercury pics into Photoshop to see if I could make them bigger and fix the color. Hope you don't mind...

    daveww1,
Thanks for the great pictures. What club is this? It does not look like Garden State.
