I didn't get much "hot rod" done, but I did get the POS trailer I just bought almost ready for the road. I finished up the dash and steering column on the dune buggy and found out the battery is dead on the Legion Special.

Please tell me you actually got something cool accomplished this weekend!

Finished polishing a pair of taillights for a customer, and made a couple patches (two of MANY) on my daughter's '26 three springer T. It was a very rusty body, but it's getting more solid every week.

  6. Started detailing my dropped 32 heavy axle. What I have done looks really good. But I have a lot of work left to do. Also took my Winters Performance V8 quick change center and axle housings to a friend in Memphis for assembly. While I was there I got a really good look at the Donovan block banger motor that he is building for a customer along with the 32 five window that it is going in. That one will make the Gazette for sure.

Did a major organizing and cleaning of my basement.

Glued Alligator clips to a couple of pieces of automotive stainless to make two curtain valances.

Hung one of the "curtain rods" with the shop rag valance I made a couple of weeks ago.

Leveled and installed the marble windowsill at the kitchen sink window.

Cut and installed a custom shelf in the kitchen.

    Rearranged the living room.

Dug out the Detroit Autorama M&G banner and threw it in Big Olds along with name tags, sharpies, and a few other things that will be needed for the Autorama in a couple of weeks.

and I still feel like I didn't get enough accomplished

It finally warmed up around here so I spent the whole weekend playing with the hotrod projects, with the shop doors open. Got a lot done.

Got most of my shop cleaned and old pc's of metal and junk car parts stacked out front for the scrapper to come and get Wednesday morning. Had an interesting fellow stop by today while I was cleaning, he is friends with my next door neighbor and he has just purchased a 57 Chevy with a 283 in it, they gave it a tune up because it was backfiring through the carburetor they evidently were at wit's end because it was still doing it after the tune-up, they even thought they bought the wrong plug wire's..should have been 8mm instead of 7mm (real apparent neither knew what the hell they were doing) so they brought it over to me. Found the vacuum advance hooked up to ported vacuum, swapped it to manifold vacuum, re-timed it and they drove off like they just won the lotto. What made this fellow so interesting was he never shut up....he bounced from one subject to the next without taking a breath and if you could follow what he was talking about you'ed swear he taught Jimmy Johnson's crew chief everything he knows....couldn't properly tune his own F#*king car up but he talked a good race.

What's up with the non matching headlights on the 2 dr sedan, Kirk? Is it unsure if it wants to be a 39 or a 40?

  16. I dunno about cool, but between the cough medicine and these pain killers I had a LOT of fun as a supervisor packing stores for Flood and Cyclone survivors!!

I dunno if its a community feeling or I was so high I thought I was building space ships!

Found out I had the wrong setting on my new digital camera, that is why I couldn't post photos on the HAMB or Ford Barn. Basement clean out is still moving along well, but I haven't made any progress on the projects.

Lots of electrical wiring is done on my car got the fuzzies in place so I can put the windows in tomorrow. I got things now in this car I didn't have before. Were at an impass trying to refigure how to get the front bumper back on. So close to the interior shop and then the exhaust fabricator to make a permanent set of pipes.

I welded in the rear upper shock mounts on my Bonneville project, built a step to make working on it easier when its up on jack stands, helped my son sand, prime and paint, and washed two daily drivers.

Well Kinda OT but I finally installed my stereo in my '66 Fury.

500 watts, 2 twelves, 6.5" components in each front door and a pair in the rear deck. Gotta re-route some wiring when I actually finish the interior, but atleast its in and sounds great! Not built to shake houses- just to sound good!

  26. Went through the carb on the '41 pickup, as it had a little crud in it and the float level was low.

Worked on the tractor and got it ready to start, only to find the starter solenoid is tits-up.

Sorted through a bunch of parts to determine what is going to scrap and what I'm keeping. That process continues!

Could not waste a beautiful weekend of 60 degree weather inside the house! Considering only three days ago, three was the friggin' temperature - in Fahrenheit!
