  1. Daddy-O, those panels are NICe...especially that red one!! Very cool.

PureHell, as usual, your stuff looks coool!

Here's a flaked clock/panel I sold the other day...sorry for the lame pic, flake is hard to photograph. Any of you shutterbugs have any tips on taking pics of 'flake with a decent digital camera (3.1MP)? speaking of shutterbugs...where are you guys?

I found that outside right as the sun is going down takes best flake pics. then again. I suck at taking pictures even with my 7.1 mp!

If you stand off to the side, you don't get that Hot Spot from the flash.
But artwork looks best shot straight on,so natural light is first choice..

My wifes little brother made this for me. A mirror with a pair of pistons and plugs. He made in a couple of hours. He also made a belt buckle out of a piston. Not bad for his first time.

One of my aluminium Deuce dash sculptures (polished one side, painted the other). It's a gift for a friend's 50th.
Amazing stuff on here as usual. Sometimes I feel I am not good enough to submit my humbles pieces!

Are you projecting your image first on to your canvas with an artograph projector or do you freehand everything?

  8. Too many cool pieces...

KCSleds, that letterpress is cool. I've kicked around the idea of buying one someday, but I don't think I need another time and money sucker in my life right now.

Chaz, I frickin' love the Finkosel. Always look forward to seeing progress.

Whodaky, don't kid yourself man. Your work is great.

    More more more...! :D

I was gonna add another color to this but after reading "Professor Barnett's Guide to Color Selection" on the pinstripers page I decided to leave it as is..:D

What a great friday so far! Everybody has outstanding stuff! With the letterpress all you really need is time. I have pieced together all of the extra stuff over time and tht adds up to more than I care to think about but once you have it all you buy is ink, paper and photopolymer plates. But that can be absorbed into a clients project. The press only cost me $50 and almost my sanity moving it. Think about 1800 lbs top heavy on bumpy back roades!

I now have most of what I need and am days away from it being ready to start turning out job work and personal projects. Then everything goes into the piggybank till I have enough for a rod project.

I painted the rear axle cover of a friend of mine's Blazer... my first experience in striping in less than ideal conditions (CRAMPED under that truck, even lifted!), learned about painting upside down, backwards... all that fun. Xcaliber brush saved my butt on this one.

    It's all acrylics on canvas:)
    haven't even touch oils yet!
I buy the good stuff in tubes called Liquitex (expensive side) and the colors come out bright and dence... not so see through.
    thanks again,
    CAB
