Hey all, I am about to put hydraulic brakes on my "A" and am in the process of gathering parts. After buying almost all the parts I need I saw on mrtexas' website that you cannot use 35 wheels with F-1 front brakes. Is that true?

P.S. I did some searching couldn't find any clear answers.

They won't fit without spacers, the wheel hub hits the drums. The spacers are about an inch thick.

would these spacers also have the raised wheel support on them too?

Who sells the spacers you are talking about? The support rings are available from several sources I am aware of.

The adapters with the built in support are hard to get - limited availability. I gave up waiting for some, bought 1" 5.5 to 5.5 adapters, the support rings that have the holes in them (provide good support on the aluminum adapters), and then made a .125 aluminum spacer. This combination worked perfectly to even support the outer edge of the center part of the rim, on the drum (the stock 1935 drums made contact with the rim there also). Hope you can follow all this.

I guess I'll understand when my f-1 hubs and drums get here. Thank you all for your help. It sounds like I need to buy even more parts :(
When will it all end! ..... LOL
