Drug this home yesterday, gona be fun. Anyone know of and O.G. decklid and doors? Just thought I would ask. FLIP
Way cool!!! I see a lot of potential there! Mmmmmm Bonneville can ya taste the salt? Maybe HRLC can scrape some salt off of Big Olds for a Patina paint job!
Wow, A hell of a find.. Even setup with juice brakes. What engine is in there? How come everyone always finds the good stuff but me You do... suck! keep us posted on it.
Not sure what you're asking. Great looking body. Amazing it was still around. Doesn't look like it even needs any patches.
That's some kinda old car, right? Might be a good start for a dunebuggy or something... Hey, tell us about it!! It's been a year since I've found a deuce roadster!
funny part is i've got old 60's magazine articles that bitch cause there's no original tin left. and people are still draggin' em in.
If you look in 1948-52 Hot Rod Mag want ads, people were already desperately looking for Deuce roadsters then. My theory: They all disappeared in 1933 (I suspect aliens and/or Howard Hughes here) and have been trickling out of the woodwork at a steady rate since. The gods of tin randomly dispense 5 every year--take a number and get in line...

[/ QUOTE ] I've got an article in may hotrod 1951 about bonneville, saying that the coupe classes are taking off because no one can find roadsters anymore...
That looks mysteriously like the car that was on ebay a month or so back, had my cursor on the "buy it now" but just couldnt do it sight unseen. Thought that one had a decklid and extra door skins though.
Come on now, you're only teasin, it's not really yours. I see this all the time, post a photo, tell us some bullshit, then don't bother to answer any questions. Oh, if you really did just " drag it home " then i'm jealous, unless of course you paid $30K.
YEA GREAT,NOW WHAT,YOULL PROBABLY TELL US HOW YOUR GONNA PUT IT ON A TUBE CHASSIS AND PRO STREET IT RIGHT?..POW! RIGHT IN THE NUTS!
Are we going to have to come over there and talk to you by hand. I hate to have to resort to violence. Tell us the damn story behind that bitch. I know, you were following an old broken down pickup with a trailer loaded with scrap and you thought you spotted something in the middle of the pile. You pulled around and motioned the driver to pull over. Seems that the two old wino occupants were hauling some scrap to buy some beer, and they found the roadster around back of an old barn a farmer had told them to clean out. They wern't about to let you take advantage of them and made you pay the going rate of $.02/lb for scrap. You did manage to get them to deduct for the tires. Am I close? HAHA!!! Frank
I was definately thinking That it needed 26" BUTTNICKS, a full pro street style tube chassis with 48" wide meats, A sweet teal and fushia paint job with splatter graphics, and don't forget the tweed old style interior!!!!!!!!! For reals, My friend was selling it and HAD tried E-PAY then decided he wanted to keep it until his house needed some attention. The doors are rough and the decklid is rougher but it is still a duce! The body was made from three bodies so it is like FRANKENBODY but whoo gives a f..uuck! I am going to hold my prommise to myself and turn my wrecked 33 into a salt racer, so all of the salvageable parts will go towards this car. The insurance company butt fucked me on that deal but this car will make it all better. Kina cool don't ya think I sold my T-DAN last week and then my friend calls the day after it sells, it is like a T-DAN for 32 trade!!! So yes I am still looking for doors and a decklid. It is funny when you try to buy something from a person and they won't budge, and then when all hope is lost a call out of the blue, LUCKY! FLIP
let us not forget the promod wing and funnycar cage...all shittin aside your one lucky SOB hope i can score a steel chevy sedan oneday, but hell ain't froze quite yet..im out quickrod
Hang on, I think we're talking to the guy who built that super chopped t sedan with the hot chick with the tatoos on Ebay! NICE GIRLFRIEND..... nice t sedan too.
Quite a score Flip -- sounds like you were due after the deal wth the 33. Man, I was bummed when I saw the photos after the wreck -- but it's good to see you got another project going. Good luck man.
Hahaha....If you want an idea of what this thing might look like you should look at issue #2 of CKD, page 30. That car was (and is) bad!! Made me want to start my project....
Thanx for the good words about the 33! I started to tear into it yesterday and it is purdy fucked, but I think with my stash and a little time the roadster will be BOSS!! Yes that was my T and yes she is neat to look at in person!!! Later...FLIP
