Jeff, there a 50's Buick or two in the local junkyard that I can take a look at once the snow melts. He's an old time junkyard guy, which I think is great. Sux to see this happen overall.

An editorial in the local newspaper would shred some shame errr light on the perp. Carefully worded of course. Need some legal advice? Free. PM me.

I've got a lot of PM's... I'll organize them and forward them to the club.

I have a pair of 331 heads and some other stuff... but it would be nice if we find the correct hemi for that car.

Even better to get the 330 desoto that was in it- I've tried calling Ross but obviously hes not answering his phone. I do know that he has recieved my texts- I guess I'm just gonna have to stop in and go from there. He still lives with his parents in madenrock-

Either way hes eventually gonna have to own up to this... be it in person or in Court.

I'm gonna help setup up a legal fund for the club and obviously a fundraiser... like a t-shirt or something where all the proceeds can go to resolving this- :)

it looks like the guys still have the fire dome wire loom covers, radiator, generator with power steering pump etc... the hood is still there- the transmission plate and transmission are still in it.

I really appreciate all the leads... thank you!

Still lives with his parents? Are you kidding? How old is this clown? He's got a couple of street rods and can't even afford to pay his own rent? Maybe that explains a lot of this.

And perhaps having a conversation with his parents (I mean landlords) might loosen up some memories on where those parts are.

As a former Stout almost-alumni, I remember the club (vaguely), and the car, and am glad most of it is back in proper hands. I wish you all the luck in finding the rest.

Also, the friendly EPA put a stop to the Lions car drop years ago (miss those days). Apparently they thought it might be contaminating the lake. Turns out it wasn't 3M after all...

I'm really sorry to hear about this, but I have to say that this story as stated in this thread isn't making any sense. If this went down as described here, the club should have had criminal charges filed a long time ago. I think a lot of us would like to do anything we can to be helpful, but it's hard to help with something you don't understand.

I started Stout in '98 and don't remember that car. I do remember Tuck shooting flames outta his shoebox in the commons in between the dorms.

Tuck, put me down for a shirt or two........can you do a long sleeve XL? If you could post your "legal fund" on this post or PM me. I will be watching this one........Oh yea, Ross will not answer his phone....I was wondering if he could help me out with a project.

  11. Wow. Before the drama gets this thread shut down, I have a Mopar generator/PS pump that I ran the numbers on and it came up '54 DeSoto. I see in an earlier post it's not missing from the club car, but if it's bad for some reason, drop me an email. It's sitting in storage in a van not doing me much good.

Tuck, I have a source for a grill. If the guy still has it, it is going to need a full restoration including chrome. He may also have a replacement engine. The yard is snowed in untill late spring though, PM me if interested.

as it's looking right now the club will be getting the grill back and misc motor parts but we're not certain what we will get back. I'm guessing well for sure need a long block, but we'll have to see what Ross does find and return to us in the coming weeks. Were hoping the manifolds, carb and accessories all make their way back but well try to keep you guys updated on what we get back and such. the club would appreciate any help the HAMB has to offer but we still arnt sure exactly what we need yet...

I cleaned up most of the Drama in this thread...

I had a long conversation with Ross tonight- and he's agreed to give back everything he has and make things right with whatevers missing... If it wasn't for this post this wouldn't be happening...

He did seem genuinely remorseful... at this point I'm having a hard time trusting anything he says... but he has a chance to make this right...

The first step is returning the grill and some other various parts... which is being negotiated with the club and Ross.

The second step is replacing the Hemi... and Ross says he will resolve this as well... I'm not sure whether that means financially or with an actual engine...

We can post an update in a new thread... I think this ones run its course...

    UPDATE!

As of Feb 16th the GRILL and some of the bolt on engine parts have been returned.
