OK I am trying to set up my Lokar ****** mount shifter to my 350 turbo and I am a little confused. First is the shifter only lock in park and nuetral?
Seems that you can go from drive down to the lower gears with out pushing in the ****on and back up to nuetral. Also from reverse to park without pushing the ****on.

Next problem is that when I try and measure the rod lenght and I set the shifter and ****** in park. The rod length is not the same as when I set both in drive or 1st.

What am I missing here. Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks

I installed the tall shifter on a turbo 350 also. Mine took a good amount of adjusting to get perfect. Locks in park as it should. It took some time, but if you feel a call to tech support is also needed, you can't go wrong. Good luck with it.

I'm in the process of setting mine up too. I've got the shifter installed, haven't played with the hookup yet, but it does seem to take a lot of check and re-checking adjustment. Just take your time.. you'll get it perfect.

the "clocking" of the arms is extremely important, if it is wrong, then the rod length changes thru the arc.

on my Fords, I've found the shifter arm needs to be 4-5 oclock

When I set mine up I had to bend the linkage rod to get the geometry to be correct in all the gears.Otherwise you will have the condition that you described where the rod length will not be correct for the different gears. It took a few tries to get the angle and location of the bend right but it can be done.If all else fails as stated above call tech.
