I was wondering who's car this is. It was posted by Kiwi Kev in his thread about Jalopy Joes send off. I would like to see some more pics if possible. If you know of more pics on the HAMB or web, please let me know. I really like this car, and would love to see the front and a side view at least!!! Thanks....
Belongs to a Ventura local guy named Greg, aka Von *****in'. The car has a ton of history, but I forget the details. Just won the radical custom award at the 2011 GNRS at Pomona. One of my friends is good buddies with him, I will try to get some details. FYI, it was Jalopy Joe's send off. Don't know who Sloppy Joe is.
dambit...SORRY. No disrespect intended. I had sloppy joes for dinner, and that was on my mind when I saw the "Jolopy Joe" name. Once again, SORRY. I'll edit my first post. Thanks for the info, and if you could get details or info on pics it would be greatly appreciated. Cheers...
I talked to the guy at length about the car a few years ago. If I remember correct its a clone built in the 60's of a car built around the same time. The builder went to high school with the owner of the origional car. The origional car was featured in the little mags. A hard topped sedan really low, and built motor. Interior was gutted, only a driver seat, drag strip style. After seeing it in the little mags it always stuck in my head. Thought this was the original car when I aproached the guy. This car is bad ***! One of my favorites around. All kinds of neat features on it.
That car belongs to Greg (Von *****en) White. It won first place in the grand national roadster show for most radical custom. It has been in a few Mags.
